Clients
Most PCs come with standard telnet client which can provide a very simple connection to Avendar. To see if telnet is pre-installed and configured on your computer, you can type telnet://avendar.com:9999 in the address bar (where you'd normally see the http://www... address). If your computer doesn't have a telnet client, or you'd like a client with a better interface (and possibly some advanced features such as aliasing, triggering, and automapping):
- JMC Client - Free Windows MUD Client.
- BetterTelnet - Freeware Macintosh telnet client, for Mac OS 9.x and prior (MacOS X has built-in telnet support).
- Wintin - Free Windows MUD Client
- MudMaster2000 - Free Windows telnet client. Login as AvendarPlayers (password: crucible) to download MM.
- MUSHclient - A good freeware MUD client
- CMud and ZMud - Commercial Windows telnet clients. They have more features than most. There is an older version of ZMud available for free.
