Thin clumps of sword-like reeds grow here, fighting with snow for

dominance of the plains, the winds blowing ceaselessly from the north-east. The quiet flow of the Hyloth ripples gently in the winds to the east, shackled by an old, disused bridge to the south, and thick reeds prevent direct access to the river. A great, wide ridge rises directly to the north, stark and devoid of life.
