Our mission is to make Europe safer through an AI-driven decision-making platform for crucial decisions. We believe that for powerful AI tools, we do not need to rely on others, but that we can develop and apply this technology in Europe.
We want to provide the people who tackle society’s most difficult and important problems with the very best software. Instead of dealing with legacy systems, poor interfaces, and endless copying and pasting, our platform brings AI-driven automation so frontline professionals can do their jobs even better.

Our story
How we got here
Avendar was founded by Hugo Sleegers, Tijs Bronnenberg, and Marijn van Aerle, after long careers in fintech and with other startups and scale-ups, they joined forces to bundle all the acquired knowledge with the application of high-risk AI solutions into one platform.
Avendar started in early 2025 with the National Police and the Ministry of Justice & Security as a launching customer. After an extensive selection process (SiR Intergov), Avendar was chosen as the supplier of a platform for better handling of public reports for the detective department.
After successfully launching this solution, we started looking for other problems in the safety domain to apply our platform, and that's how Integrity was born, a way to prevent subversive crime in permits and subsidies.
About Avendar
Who we are
Avendar was founded by serial tech entrepreneurs, with a proven track record in AI and fintech. Before this, we co-founded and built Floryn into a successful fintech scale-up under the supervision of DNB (De Nederlandsche Bank). This gave us a lot of experience with the application of AI in high-risk environments and experience with all the regulations involved (GDPR, AI Act, DORA, NIS2, etc.)
We have our office at JADS, Jheronimus Academy of Data Science, an initiative of Eindhoven Technical University and Tilburg University. Where we build our platform every day with a team of enthusiastic professionals.
